You can change your Cake Day plan at any time from the dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Upgrade or switch plans

1

Sign in to the dashboard

Go to cakeday.io/app and sign in with your Slack workspace.
2

Open Billing

Click Billing in the left sidebar.
3

Click Upgrade or Change plan

Click Upgrade if you’re on the Free plan, or Change plan if you’re already on a paid plan.
4

Select the plan you want

Choose Free, Starter, Growth, or Pro. The page shows the celebration cap and feature differences for each option.
5

Choose your billing cycle

Select monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves 17% (two months free).
6

Complete checkout

You’ll be taken to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Pay by credit card or any other payment method Stripe supports in your region.
7

Your new plan is active immediately

Once payment is confirmed, your higher celebration cap and any newly unlocked features are available right away — no restart or reinstall needed.
Stripe handles all payment processing. Cake Day never sees your full card number.

Downgrade to a lower plan

The flow is identical — go to Billing → Change plan and select a lower tier. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep your current plan’s features and celebration cap. If your active usage exceeds the lower plan’s cap at the time the downgrade takes effect, Cake Day will stop posting celebrations until the next reset period.

Cancel your subscription

Go to Billing → Cancel subscription. Your workspace reverts to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your roster, settings, and activity history are not deleted — you can resubscribe at any time and pick up where you left off.
